We were back DJing at the Design Museum for the second time in four days, playing the huge opening party, in front of over 1200 guests on an evening hosted by Vogue and Swarovsky.
The wrap event on the Saturday was a great night – our brief was ‘party!’ and party they did. So it was even more of an honour to get a call a couple of days later asking us if we’d come back and play the first section of the giant launch party, opening for Jarvis Cocker and Bella Freud. 1200 of the media and design world’s brightest were in attendance so of course it was only right that The Sheen Resistance were there too. We played the first couple of hours, up until director Deyan Sudjic and founder Sir Terence Conran made their speeches.
Throughout the evening we watched the likes of models Eva Herzigova, Petra Nemcova, Erin O’Connor and Laura Bailey, Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman, designers Paul Smith, Betty Jackson, Morag Myerscough, James Dyson and Thomas Heatherwick, actress Olga Kurylenko, The Clash’s Paul Simenon, DJ Nick Grimshaw and countless others wander through.
All in all, a brilliantly enjoyable few days spent in a stunning space and meeting some lovely people along the way.
