Animal print at the ready! Join us on a funky trip back in time on Friday December 13th as Lost In Disco heads to the East End’s wild and exotic King’s Head Members’ Club.
We’re joined once again by funk royalty Andrew Levy from the legendary Brand New Heavies as we bring a night of disco, funk, rare-groove, jazz-funk and assorted vintage and not-so-vintage dance bangers.
Joining us as well will be the wonderful DJ Sophie Lloyd, a Defected and Glitterbox regular who had a worldwide hit with the gospel infused soulful house track Calling Out, a track that consistently fills floors. Summoning the power of the most joy-filled sounds, Sophie’s affinity for disco, soul and house music has seen her play alongside the likes of Mark Ronson, Horse Meat Disco, Purple Disco Machine, Dimitri From Paris and Todd Terje, as well as being a frequent guest at Jade Jaggers’ legendary Jezebel parties.
Also on the bill will be rising queen of disco, the wonderful Marie Garaccio – a Spiritland regular who’s been raising the roof alongside the likes of Joey Negro and Faze Action from London, to Brighton and Ibiza with her own brand of disco and soulful house.
To say this place is unique is understating it and we think it’s the perfect location for an anything-goes night in the Christmas run-up. This is going to be an unforgettable night in a definitely unforgettable venue.
We’ll be dishing out the retro party bangers from the word go, bringing the spirit of Studio 54 to Hoxton.
