We’re hugely excited to welcome the incredible DJ Sarah Main to Lost In Disco in May, where she’ll play a guest spot.
In our quest to keep bringing new twists and improvements, a DJ of Sarah’s quality and experience with her sense of fun and love of a party is a perfect fit with Lost In Disco.
A long established artist on the Ibiza scene Sarah Main is musically talented, technically savvy and still filling the island with her hypnotic sounds as she enters into her 18th summer season.
Being one of the first DJs to rise from the Australian club scene to worldwide stages, Sarah made Ibiza her home in 2001 when she secured the prestigious position of main room resident in one of the worlds most revered clubs, Pacha Ibiza. With her 12 year long Pacha residency, she was an international ambassador for the brand, headlining countless world tours, mixing a plethora of CD compilations alongside industry heavyweights such as Pete Tong, presenting Pacha’s first radio show on Galaxy UK and also featuring in their numerous photo campaigns.
On the scene, Sarah has toured continuously in the last 23 years playing at the worlds top venues and festivals. To name a few – Zouk, Warung, Pacha Buenos Aires, Ministry of Sound, Sirena, XS, Queen club, Le Baoli, Space Ibiza, Tomorrowland, Rock in Rio, Creamfields, Dance Valley, The Techno Parade Paris, plus everything in between. Sarah has also hosted her own MAINroom branded parties in Ibiza and around Europe. Kicking off in her original home club of Pacha Ibiza, the parties were also held at other Ibiza hotspots such as Ocean Beach, Es Vive and the Ushuaia Tower.
She also was a long-standing guest at Space Ibiza and held a 2-year residency at Ushuaia Ibiza. Taking out the coveted best Ibiza DJ award at the Dj Awards in 2006, Sarah has also been cited by Frankie Knuckles as his favourite female DJ and also by Pete Tong and Erick Morillo as their favourite warm up DJ.
More recently, Sarah was a resident at the ultra-glamorous ‘Boogie In Wonderland‘ night at Heart Ibiza alongside Maxine Hardcastle. Like Lost In Disco, this was another Studio 54 inspired night at one of the most up-market venues on the island. Here she got to play a mixture of classics and new edits of original disco tunes, alongside such disco legends as Giorgio Moroder, John ‘Jellybean’ Benitez, Nicky Siano, Cerrone and Francois K.
Her MAINroom radio show was heard on over 30 FM stations worldwide and was the first electronic music show to be commissioned by Emirates for their inflight service. She also has a weekly radio show, ‘Mobile Disco’ on Ibiza’s flagship radio station, Ibiza Global radio.
As a producer, her tracks can be found on Pacha Recordings, Heatflow, Blue Dye, Soulful Legends, Society 3.0, classic house label Azuli recordings and her own MAINroom records.
On camera Sarah Main became the face of the Pioneer CDJ 400 in 2008. She then went on to host her own 3-hour music show on Flaunt TV and hosted an exclusive Yamabooki TV series, interviewing everyone from The Swedish House Mafia to Carl Cox. In 2015, Yamabooki featured Sarah on ‘DJ’s – The New Superstars’, alongside artists such as Hardwell, Armin Van Bueren, David Guetta, Solomon and many more. It aired on prime time TV on Vox TV in Germany to over 1 million viewers. Sarah was also the first person onscreen in the cult film “Its All Gone Pete Tong” when she appeared as herself, discussing the controversial protagonist Frankie Wilde.
Lost In Disco takes place at Bush Hall on May 19th. Tickets are available here.
