LOST IN DISCO

London’s Bush Hall gets funky and fabulous with a sold-out Studio 54 style celebration of 70s and 80s disco in January

Following a pair of packed out nights in Hammersmith, London Disco enthusiasts The Sheen Resistance bring their definitive classic disco experience to West London’s beautiful Bush Hall in January 2017 with LOST IN DISCO. This is a non-stop, groove-filled party full of original disco, soul, funk, 70s and 80s vintage dancefloor classics, and the occasional guilty pleasure for that Studio 54/Paradise Garage vibe. This event will be the latest in a series of brilliant, sold out retro-themed nights with a feel-good, inclusive hands-in-the-air vibe. With its chandeliers, ornate high ceiling and glitterball Bush Hall is a venue whose character is uniquely perfect for a journey back to the glory days of disco.

This time round, they’ll be sharing the stage with dancers from the spectacular Hot Heels –  the all-male commercial dance collective who deliver high energy, high heeled, live performance experiences. Led by choreographer Jono Kitchens, Hot Heels have performed festivals and venues across the country such as Bestival, XOYO, Google HQ, The V&A and Space, Ibiza. Completing the line-up will be Pop Tart Boutique – festival veterans and the brainchild of top stylist Liz Mendez. They’ll be on hand with glitter and sparkle makeup for those who want to completely get in character for the night.

Largely through word of mouth, The Sheen Resistance nights have been filling venues in their South West London base since their first event in 2009. More recently they’ve also been selling out larger events north of the river in Hammersmith, proving that there’s an enduring appeal for their popular take on disco and funky classics.

About Bush Hall

Bush Hall was originally built in 1904 and used as a dance hall through the roaring twenties, and a rehearsal space for the likes of The Who, Adam Faith and Cliff Richard in the late 50’s/60s, before being restored to its former glory in 2001. Today, its unique character and incredible acoustics make it the perfect venue for everything from live music gigs and cabaret shows to film shoots. And now of course disco.
